Magical Woodland Yurt Wedding: Kayt & Matt

Alpacas, chickens, humans and a yurt! What more could you want from a wedding?! Kayt and Matt's wedding was a blast! Kayt contacted me as I had photographed her cousin's wedding a little while ago and had really liked my photos, so I was delighted to So lovely to be back at St Alphege in Solihull for the church ceremony - quite challenging but beautiful light.

St Alphege Solihull Wedding Ceremony

St. Alphege Church in Solihull, England is a truly special place for a wedding. Located in the heart of the town, this historic church has been a staple of the community for centuries. The stunning architecture of St. Alphege is incredibly impressive with its Gothic styling, beautiful stained glass windows and intricate carvings, making it a truly picturesque setting for a wedding.

Inside, the church is just as impressive. The high ceilings and warm, natural light create a sense of peace and tranquility, making it the perfect place to exchange your vows. The altar, which dates back to the 13th century, is a truly stunning focal point and provides the perfect backdrop for your ceremony. But what makes St. Alphege truly special is its rich history. The church has been a part of the community for over 900 years, and has played a vital role in the history of Solihull. It has been a place of worship, community gathering, and celebration for centuries, and it continues to be an important part of the town to this day.

Yurt Wedding Reception

Here are some reasons why you might want to consider having a yurt at your wedding:

  1. Yurts provide a unique and exotic setting for your big day. The circular shape and cozy, intimate atmosphere of a yurt creates a warm and inviting space for your ceremony and reception.

  2. Yurts are versatile and can be customized to suit your specific needs and preferences. They can be decorated and furnished to create a variety of different looks and atmospheres, from rustic and bohemian to elegant and sophisticated.

  3. Yurts are a eco-friendly and sustainable option for your wedding. Unlike traditional wedding venues, yurts can be easily set up and taken down with minimal impact on the environment.

  4. Yurts are a cost-effective option for your wedding. Because they are portable and can be set up in a variety of locations, yurts can often be more affordable than traditional wedding venues.

Overall, having a yurt at your wedding can provide a unique and memorable experience for you and your guests. Whether you are looking for a cozy and intimate space, a sustainable and eco-friendly option, or simply something a little out of the ordinary, a yurt may be the perfect choice for your big day.

Reception

After the service we headed back to Kayt's parents' house for the reception. There aren't many weddings I have photographed with Alpacas in the background - absolutely wonderful. We were incredibly lucky with the sunset photos - we timed it to perfection. It was worth the challenge of climbing over a gate - Kayt did very well getting over with her long dress! Enjoy the photos! :-)

"Wooooooow!!!!!!!! Absolutely AMAZING!!!!!!! That Facebook shot is INCREDIBLE!!! Thank you SO much Frank!!"
