Hagley Hall Wedding Photography: Dimple & Mike

Hagley Hall Worcestershire Wedding Photography – Dimple and Mike

Dimple and Mike made an excellent choice when they booked Hagley Hall as the venue for their summer wedding.  It was a beautiful day and the views out over Worcestershire were stunning.

My day started at Dimple and Mike’s house in Pedmore, Stourbridge, before heading off to Hagley Hall. The ceremony was held in the beautifully grand ‘saloon’ with its ornate plasterwork and fine views over the Worcestershire countryside – I loved that there was a cricket match in the distance! After the ceremony there were drinks and the guests went out onto the terrace. I went into the grounds for some couple shots and then we moved into the Long Gallery for the reception. There were some lovely Indian touches throughout the day. The Indian canapés and catering were absolutely delicious. The Indian dresses, including Dimple’s, were very vibrant and colourful. Later on everyone enjoyed the Indian dancing during the evening celebrations. Dimple and Mike were such a good laugh – I had a terrific day!

Hagley Hall provides a magnificent setting for Worcestershire Weddings

Hagley Hall is a Neo-Palladian house built in the 18th century. Although it was almost burned down it was restored by its owner, Lord Lyttleton in the 19th Century.  It is surrounded by 350 acres of parkland with fallow deer. There had been a house on this site for hundreds of years and in 1606 two of the men involved in the Gunpowder Plot hid in the house and escaped through the parkland when they were betrayed by the cook who informed the authorities of their presence. I always enjoy thinking about the history and events that have happened when I shoot weddings in historic houses.  This house provides a wonderful setting for Worcestershire weddings. The ceremony room is palatial and the wedding rooms open onto a grand staircase to the terrace.

Congratulations, Dimple and Mike and thank you for having me along as your wedding photographer!
