I was absolutely thrilled when I was asked to shoot Bhav and Jas’ Asian wedding at the Belfry Hotel & Resort. Bhav and Jas told me that they really wanted a woodland theme for their wedding and asked if I could recommend a woodland-themed venue for their engagement shoot. I was only too happy to oblige. We went for a really wonderful shoot in the bluebells and it was lovely to go for a stroll and get to know the couple better. Click here to see their gorgeous engagement photographs.
The Belfry really is the most perfect venue for a unique and memorable Asian wedding. They are able to cater for weddings for up to 276 guests. If you’re planning a West Midlands Asian wedding (or any other style of wedding for that matter) it should be on your wedding venue list.
Woodlands Suite Belfry
A harpist played some soothing tunes while the ceremony took place after which we went out into the sunshine (it was an absolutely boiling summer’s day) for a confetti shot. After mingling with guests for a while and enjoyed some delicious canapés, the bride groom and I went on buggies onto the golf course for some bride and groom portraits. The Belfry golf course is such a fabulous backdrop for photos as you’ll see from the photos – the light was just perfect.
In the evening, Bhav and Jas both changed into their evening outfits. Bhavisha changed out of her white dress into a really beautiful gold-coloured dress. They were welcomed into the Woodlands suite with great applause and cheering. The couple had gone to great lengths to turn the Woodlands Suite into something really magical. All the tables had beautiful tree decorations (see photos) and the lighting was incredibly atmospheric. After the absolutely delicious food from The Five Rivers the guests enjoyed some wonderful dancing before the whole wedding party piled onto the dancefloor for some truly epic dancing along to the tunes provided by The Unique Sounds Roadshow. There were so many wonderful moments going on all around me – it was a lot of fun to capture so many people having such a great time.
